Abstract

Course syllabus for ACCT 851 Accounting Information Systems

Course description: In this course students learn how to design information systems that not only provide accounting information for financial statements and other purposes, but also integrate nonaccounting information. This approach allows all users access to data without traditional accounting artifacts or aggregation and classification procedures obscuring the data, while still allowing the data to be presented in a traditional accounting format.
