Abstract
Course syllabus for ECON 71A An Integrated Approach to Teaching Economics at the Elementary Level
Course description: This course demonstrates useful strategies for integrating the teaching of economics into an existing elementary curriculum. Basic concepts will be introduced and reviewed, and methods of instruction will be explored and practiced. The focus will be on practical applications, classroom activities, and the exchange of ideas. Only economics principles that apply to the elementary grades will be studied, with an emphasis on the creation of integrated units for classroom use.
