Abstract

Course syllabus for HLSC 500 Nutrition

Course description: Identifies cellular and nutrient make-up of the body as it relates to the body's systems and the nutritional life cycle. Examines how socioeconomic factors enhance a person's food choices and how diet, nutritional guidelines, and physical exercise decrease the risk of disease. Hazards in our food supply and issues regarding hunger and the global environment will also be presented.
