Course syllabus for ICS 548W African Civilizations
Course description: Examines the African legacy and its contributions to the world. While the Atlantic Coast slave trade, colonial domination and rule are discussed, the primary focus is on African people, the history of their societies, institutions, thoughts, and cultures rather than on the study of white men in Africa.
