Abstract

The healthcare sector heavily relies on nurses, who constitute the backbone of global health services. In Turkey, a significant percentage of nurses work in hospitals with shift-based schedules. Shift work has been shown to disrupt sleep quality, leading to physiological, psychological, and social challenges. This study aims to explore how healthcare administration can address these challenges through effective interventions and policies. By leveraging tools like actigraphy and validated sleep quality indices, this research will identify key factors influencing nurses' sleep and develop strategies for mitigation.
