Abstract
Course syllabus for EDEC 670 Preprimary Curriculum Development in Early Childhood and Special Education
Course description: Analyzes techniques for individualizing instruction in specified content areas that are developmentally appropriate for young children with an emphasis on the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten years. Analyzes and evaluates curriculum development and content related to typical and atypical language and emergent literacy, manipulatives, sensorial materials, blocks, dramatic play, the arts, movement, math, science, and social studies. Critiques approaches to working with culturally diverse children and children with special needs.
