Abstract

Course syllabus for FIN 830 Financial Markets

Course description: This course covers analysis of financial markets with emphasis on understanding and predicting interest rates and stock prices. Includes topics on structure and behavior of interest rates, flow of funds analysis, operation of security markets, portfolio polices of financial institutions, effect of monetary and fiscal policies of financial institutions (this will not be covered), effect of monetary and fiscal policies of financial markets, capital market theory, and measurement of market efficiency.
