Abstract
Course syllabus for HLAD 801 Health Care Sociology
Course description: This course deals with health care processes as seen from a sociological perspective. The content includes: social and cultural aspects of health and illness behavior; the concept of sick-role and illness as deviance; patterns of health service utilization; medical professions and careers; hospital social structure; and the "community" of health organizations.
