Abstract

Each year, Governors State University celebrates the published works of its faculty and staff with an Authors’ Reception in the university’s library.

“Frequently, within a university community, one department does not know what research is conducted in another or faculty members will not be aware that a colleague has written a book or contributed an article to a journal,” explained Diane Dates Casey, Dean of the GSU library. “Our annual Authors’ Reception gives everyone the opportunity to view the printed work of our faculty members.”
