Abstract

The balance between public safety and individual civil rights has become a major issue in today’s world. Understanding the issues, articulating the problems, and analyzing the social, political, and economic concerns in achieving that balance is an important discussion.

As part of its Constitution Day observance, Governors State University will open the discussion with a community forum, “Challenges to the Constitution in the Post 9/11 Era,” on September 18 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in Sherman Music Recital Hall.
