Abstract

As part of Governors State University’s African American History Month activities, there will be a special screening and discussion of the 2010 Emmy Award winning independent film “Girls on the Wall.” The screening will be on February 21, at 4:30 p.m., in Engbretson Hall. A discussion of the film led by Mariame Kaba will follow. Kaba is Executive Director of Project Nia, which facilitates the creation of community-focused responses to youth violence and crime.
