Fahrenheit 451 Book Discussion Governors State University Hall of Honors 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM The Intellectual Life Committee invites you to a discussion of the Big Read book Fahrenheit 451 in the Hall of Honors, just prior to the film presentation at 5:30. The discussion facilitators will begin with a brief overview of the book, but the book is available as a free download on Google for those who would like to read it before the discussion. The book's themes of censorship, social influence, government control, and the power of relationships to make change are as relevant now as they were when the book was written. We hope you will join us for this interesting discussion. |
