Abstract
Starting in the Fall 2014, Governors State University began participating in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). In the first year, the university's responses were at the national average, but in an effort to improve responses and figure out how to best reach out to GSU students, the team of student workers in the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness formulated an engagement strategy that can be tested and revised each year.
