Abstract
Course syllabus for CDIS 530 Augmentative and Alternative Communication
Course description: This course is intended to introduce students to the process of clinical evaluation and treatment of individuals with significant communication disabilities who may benefit from augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Instruction will cover the populations who benefit from AAC systems, a range of no-tech, low-tech, and high-tech AAC systems, and assessment and treatment methods.
