Course syllabus for HLAD 835 Health Care Human Resource Management

Course description: Focuses on human resource management, programs and policies. Addresses recruitment of health professionals, manpower requirements, staffing, training, development, examination of qualifications and standards, performance appraisals, labor relations and employee morale. Examines methods of developing leadership in health managers, issues of compensation administration, and specific labor relations and legal issues in health care. Applies TQM and ethical values to HRM.
