Abstract

Course syllabus for CDIS 330 Hearing Science

Course description: The subject matter encompassed by the field of hearing science forms a basis for understanding many of the specific content areas of communication disorders. This course includes the study of sound generation and transmission, measurement of sound, anatomy and physiology of the hearing mechanism, speech acoustics, psycho-acoustics, psychophysical methods, and electroacoustic instrumentation.
