Abstract

Author Jonathan Lippincott, a witness to the creation of some of the 20th century’s most monumental works of art, will discuss his book, “Large Scale: Fabricating Sculpture in the 1960s and 1970s,” during a July 14 appearance at Governors State University.

Lippincott, whose father Donald was a founder of the Lippincott Foundry in North Haven, Connecticut, will also tour GSU’s Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park (NMSP) during his visit to the university. The sculpture park is home to Clement Meadmore’s “Spiral,” fabricated at the foundry in 1971.
