Abstract

My project is to study the effect of putting the more expensive textbooks in the sciences on RESERVE in the Library, and track the usage. We hope this analysis will tell us how students deal with high cost of textbooks in the Sciences. Are there any viable alternatives? There is also talk about Open Educational Resources in academic spheres, and this presentation will address the pros and the cons of OERs, as a substitute to high cost textbooks.
