Abstract
Course syllabus for ADDS 525QC Clinical Approaches: Women and Addictions
Course description: This course heightens awareness about the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues of addicted women, including physical abuse, sexual abuse, and the impact of sexism on socialization and self esteem. The course will include lectures, small and large group activities, and experiential exercises covering gender biases, the therapeutic alliance, and effective counseling strategies when working with addicted women.
