Abstract
Course syllabus for ART 523 Pre-Columbian Art and Cultures: Lower Central and South America
Course description: Survey of the art and architecture of ancient America with reference to archaeology and early historical descriptions. Emphasizes specific regions listed in course subheading. Students may repeat this course for up to 6 hours under different subheadings.
In this course, we will explore Lower Central and South America with attention to the Intermediate, Andean, Amazonian, and Caribbean regions.
