Abstract
Course syllabus for ART 304 Drawing: Studio
Course description: Explores a variety of drawing media and techniques. Emphasis on expressive representational drawing and abstract drawing of still-life and natural forms using the elements of value, line, shape, texture, and color. May be repeated with permission of instructor. Note: Either, this course Art 304 or Art 305, is required for all undergraduate art majors.
Instructor's comment: This course looks at drawing as an expressive activity that promotes a respect for observation and emotional depiction of objects. Principles and elements of design are used as building blocks to develop content and expression through materials, design, and vision.
