Abstract
Course syllabus for ART 500 Topics in Art: Stained Glass
Course description: In a series of presentations using outside resources, specific developments, and skills, new creative approaches and issues are considered. Series may be repeated for different subjects.
This class will explore the beauty of stained glass and light. It is intended as an introductory course concentrating on basic techniques of constructing flat glass panels. The student is encouraged to use a creative approach in the design of stained glass just as he or she would in drawing or painting.
The class will consist of 15 two and one half hour class periods of instruction and demonstration. Tools and materials will be the student's responsibility.
