Abstract
Course syllabus for CDIS 345 Anatomy and Physiology of Speech
Course description: This course will consider the anatomical structures and physiological mechanisms involved in normal speech production. Specifically, the skeletal, muscular and elastic components required for normal speech as well as physiological principles underlying phonation, respiration and articulation will be examined. The class will consist of lectures, demonstrations and examination of anatomical models. A lab session investigating some aspect of speech physiology will also be required.
