Abstract
Course syllabus for CJUS 345 Crime Causation Theories & Social Control
Course description: This course examines historical and current criminology theory and practice; analyzes concepts and practices of crime and criminal behavior and society's response to them; and examines the law, offenders, victims, forms of crime, and the criminal justice system. Students will consider various aspects of criminology theory and formulate their own perspective that takes into account societal pressures and research about crime, rehabilitation, and recidivism.
