Abstract

Course syllabus for COUN 638A Introduction to School Services

Course description: Examines the roles of school service personnel in the school environment. History, philosophy, trends, purposes, ethics, legal aspects, standards, and roles within the institution are examined. Students will explore the significance of classroom dynamics. Strategies used with "at risk," suicide, dropout, culturally different, and gifted students are emphasized in a developmental approach.
