Abstract
Course syllabus for EDAD 838W Collective Negotiations
Course description: This course will examine the development and establishment of collective bargaining with school district groups. The presentation will include a historical, sociological and legal perspective as well as a consideration of the role of individuals in the bargaining process and effects in the public sector. The students will have opportunity to participate in simulated collective bargaining exercises to prepare for negotiations. They will use table tactics and strategies and deal with impasse resolution and the impact on school budgets.
