Abstract
Course syllabus for ELED 460 Teaching Science in Elementary Schools
Course description: Students prepare modern science teaching materials and strategies for the elementary school classroom (K-8). Students will apply science education models or trends to teaching science in grades K-8. Emphasis in this course will be placed upon: 1) science as process and content; 2) cognitive thinking abilities of grade school students; 3) problem solving in science and elementary science programs; 4) questioning strategies; and 5) assessment of science learning.
