Abstract
Course syllabus for GEOG 32A North American Geography
Course description: This course is designed to introduce students to an understanding oi the geography of North America. As geography is the study of spatial relationships, this course will feature investigations into the overall geographic setting of North America, including its people, government, land, and resources, and will then focus on the particular geographic regions of North America. These regions include Mid-Atlantic, Canadian Heartland, The South, Appalachia, The Great Plains, The Northlands, and many more. Each region will be studied for a detailed understanding of its people, land, economy, government, and social structure. Regional studies will also emphasize the interrelationships between these key geographic factors.
