Abstract

Course syllabus for HLAD 503 Healthcare Human Resource Management

Course description: Focuses on human resource management, program, and policies. Addresses recruitment of health professionals, manpower requirements, staffing, training, development, examination of qualifications standards, performance appraisals, and employee morale. Examines methods of developing leadership in supervisory health managers, issues of wage and salary administration, and labor relations issues in healthcare.

This course is also structured to prepare students for the long-term care administrators licensing exam.
