Abstract
Course syllabus for MCOM 803 Contemporary Issues: Internet and Web
Course description: This graduate media communications core course is a graduate seminar surveying and examining a selected issue in media, communications, or popular culture. As a graduate seminar, students are expected to actively contribute to the development of course content. Typically students and faculty join in researching particularly relevant issues confronting contemporary media. Findings are presented using a variety of learning and presentation methods, including the use of technology as appropriate. All seminar participants take part in the discussions seeking to develop in-depth information and better understanding of the various perspectives and alternative approaches to selected issues. This class under different subtitles may be repeated for credit.
