Course syllabus for MEDT 323 Microbiology I

Course description: This is the first course in a series of four (4) clinical microbiology lecture courses. It is important for the Medical Technologist to comprehend certain physical and chemical characteristics of micro-organisms. This information will be applied to their recovery and identification. The organisms emphasized in this course are the gram positive cocci, gram negative cocci, gram positive bacciili, and organisms primarily recovered from the upper respiratory tract.
