Abstract
Course syllabus for MEDT 332 Clinical Laboratory Science: Chemistry II
Course description: This course is the second in a series of four clinical chemistry lectures. Topics include the biochemistry, analysis and diagnostic application of serum enzymes, isoenzymes, bilirubin, electrolytes, blood gases and important minerals. Atomic emission spectroscopy, atomic absorption spectroscopy, osmometry, ion sensitive electrodes and other electrochemical techniques are presented. Selected laboratory test data is analyzed and correlated to heart, liver, bone, carbohydrate, lung and other abnormalities.
