Abstract

Course syllabus for MEDT 420/430 Clinical Laboratory Science: Medical Technology Practicum

Course description: This course is a continued study of procedures of the clinical hematology laboratory. Routine and special hematology procedures, urinalysis, and coagulation testing will be performed. Emphasis will be placed on instrumentation, maintenance, problem solving, review of cell identification with emphasis on abnormal morphology, and clinical correlations of laboratory data with patient conditions.
