Abstract

Course syllabus for MEDT 465 Laboratory Management

Course description: Practitioners entering the Medical laboratory field are prepared to be technically competent. They are also expected to be knowledgeable of the skills and functions related to laboratory management. This course introduces the student technologist to the principles of management and the role of the laboratory manager and clinical supervisors. The course will also cover changes affecting the clinical laboratory today, governmental and other outside variables which impact on the laboratory, and fiscal management practices.
