Abstract
Course syllabus for MGMT 510A Foundations of Managerial Statistics
Course description: Introduces students to the basic topics in statistics and probability. This is a foundation course for graduate students and covers most of the topics taught in the undergraduate courses STAT 361 and STAT 362. Topics covered include descriptive Statistics, Theory of Probability, Discrete and Continuous Probability Distributions, Sampling Distributions and Estimation, and Simple and Multiple Regression. The course is designed as an applications-oriented course and the textbook contains several applications of statistics and probability in both functional and general management. Students are encouraged to familiarize with statistical computer packages (e.g., MINITAB, SPSS, etc.)
