Abstract
Course syllabus for MGMT 823 Business Ethics
Course description: This course is an introduction to ethical decision making in business. There is an examination of individual, organizational, and societal issues in business ethics.
The course is designed to assist you as a potential businessperson to make more informed ethical decisions on a daily basis. To accomplish this objective, both descriptive and normative models of unethical and ethical decision making in business will be analyzed.
The course does not determine correct ethical action. There are no absolute right or wrong solutions in most situations. Dilemmas, real life situations, and cases provide an opportunity for you to use concepts in the assignments and to resolve ethical issues. Critical thinking and informed decision making are emphasized, because there is no universal agreement on the correct ethical business norms.
