Abstract
Course syllabus for MGMT 301 Introduction to Management Strategies
Course description: Introduces classical management, behavioral, and management science. This course is about introducing the student to the fundamental functions of management, emphasizing the interrelationships among planning, organizing and directing, and controlling. Both the impact of the organizations upon participants and the impact of participants on organizations are studied. Examines the systems approach to solving operational problems.
The course content is divided into five sections: (1) Manager's Terrain (2) Planning (3) Organizing (4) Leadership (5) Controlling.
