Abstract
Course syllabus for MIS 840 Distributed and Network Systems
Course description: The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with fundamental concepts of telecommunications and distributed data systems. Topics covered include various network environments, ranging from simple local area networks to intranets, extranets, and the Internet; network management and security issues; and network applications for human communication, distributed database systems, and electronic commerce.
