Abstract
Course syllabus for NURS 420 Community Health Nursing
Course description: This senior level nursing course focuses on the needs of individual family group, organizations and communities. The nursing process is applied in addressing these needs. Faculty-supervised clinical experiences are conducted in local health, educational and other human service settings. The roles and functions of nurses in community settings are studied and practiced in homes, schools, clinics, workplaces and other locales. Concepts of adaptation, change, communication, role and environment are among those emphasized within a systems framework.
