Abstract
Course syllabus for SOCW 465 Research in the Health and Human Services
Course description: This course is based on an assumption that a research orientation is necessary for effective direct service professional practice in the health and human services. It emphasizes becoming an intelligent consumer of research. A second major goal is to facilitate the acquisition of research knowledge and strategies for examining and learning from one's own professional practice. The course is appropriate for students in social work, nursing, alcoholism sciences and other health and human service curricula.
