Abstract
This is a presentation to the Governors State University Research Day, April 2017. The presentation reviews Open Access progress thus far on campus, including a review of OA Graduate student capstones and theses, and faculty works. Open access to research articles policies, including the State of Illinois law and GSU OA policy are discussed. Research shows that open access gives authors a citation advantage, according to an article published in PLoS One.
