Abstract
It is my extreme pleasure and profound privilege to serve as the sixth president of Governors State University, the only regional, comprehensive public university in Chicago’s Southland. We are home to a richly diverse and talented group of students taught by an equally diverse and exceptional faculty. Founded in 1969, Governors State University continues to embrace the core values of “investing in student success; providing opportunity and access to residents in the surrounding community; serving as an economic catalyst for the region; preparing stewards of our future; promoting inclusiveness and diversity; and enhancing the quality of life for personal and professional growth.”
In Fiscal Year 2022, we made significant progress with advancing academic excellence, international and graduate student enrollment, revenue diversification, equity and inclusion, and enhanced the local, regional, national, and international visibility for the University.
