Description of Program
A showcase of interprofessional education projects during 2025 and 2026 across CHHS, featuring brief presentations, interactive displays, and opportunities to connect with colleagues. This event highlights collaborative innovations and strengthens interdisciplinary engagement across the University community.
Abstract
The Interprofessional Education (IPE) Activities Subcommittee is committed to advancing collaborative learning, shared problem‑solving, and interdisciplinary engagement across the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) and the broader University community. Aligned with this mission, the proposed AY25–26 culminating event—Interprofessional Education Research and Practice Showcase—will highlight the diverse and innovative IPE initiatives underway during the 2025 academic year. This event is designed to bring together faculty, students, and professional partners to celebrate accomplishments, strengthen cross‑disciplinary relationships, and generate new opportunities for interprofessional collaboration. The showcase will feature a series of concise presentations, posters, and interactive displays representing ongoing and completed IPE projects. These projects reflect a wide range of collaborative efforts across health, social science, and community‑focused disciplines, demonstrating how integrative approaches improve student learning, professional readiness, and community impact. Presenters will share project goals, methodologies, outcomes, and implications for improving interprofessional practice within educational and applied settings. In addition to formal presentations, the event will include a Q&A forum and structured networking opportunities intended to foster dialogue, spark cross‑campus partnerships, and support the expansion of IPE‑centered teaching, research, and service. Attendees will gain insight into effective strategies for implementing interprofessional learning experiences and will be invited to contribute ideas for future initiatives.
