Description of Program

This phenomenological study examines the lived experiences of adults who endured childhood socioeconomic hardship and now self-identify as successful, focusing on how they moved from adversity to self-defined success. Using semi-structured interviews and Colaizzi’s approach, the study explores resilience, key life moments, and the meaning-making processes that shaped these pathways, informing strengths-based counseling, education, and policy practice.
