Abstract
Course syllabus for CDIS 81 Current Topics: Language Disorders of the Learning Disabled
Course description: The focus of this course will be an examination of the interactions among the memorial, perceptual and linguistic systems involved in language-learning disabilities. Theory and clinical examples from childhood through adulthood will be used to examine the relationships between oral language, written language and reading. Current approaches to assessment and intervention of language-learning disorders by speech-language pathologists will be included in discussions.
