Course syllabus for CDIS 81 Current Topics: Speech-Language Assessment Techniques for Bilingual Children

Course description: This course scrutinizes formal and informal practices for attaining a non-discriminatory speech-language assessment for bilingual children. It specifically addresses cultural-linguistical diversity as it relates to language delays, disorders and differences. The assessment perspective includes diagnostic-prescriptive techniques to improve the delivery of therapeutic services to bilingual-bicultural students.
