Abstract
Course syllabus for FIN 801 Problems in Financial Management
Course description: Cases will be used to analyze financial problems of the firm, and decision making methods will be demonstrated and applied to the cases. Topics include: 1) the management of assets and the need for funds, 2) analysis of past and future financing, 3) short-term finance, 4) intermediate-term finance, 5) long-term finance, 6) cost of capital, 7) the impact of economic conditions on financing and investment decisions. Students should have had Principles of Financial Management or equivalent, basic accounting and micro and macro economics.
