Abstract
Course syllabus for MEDT 433 Clinical Chemistry IV
Course description: This is the final course in a series of four clinical chemistry lecture courses. Clinical methods used to measure lipids, hormones, hormone metabolites, vitamins, drugs of abuse, toxic substances and therapeutic drugs will be presented. Endocrine function, lipoprotein and vitamin metabolism, drug effects, drug metabolism, and amniotic fluid analysis will be discussed. Chromatographic and immunological techniques will be emphasized, and ultraviolet scanning methods reviewed.
