Abstract
Course syllabus for MGMT 55ACS Business and Marketing on the Internet
Course description: This course is your introduction to World Wide Web (WWW) and its use as a powerful business and marketing tool. Discusses the use of Web Browsers like Netscape to identify and locate vast resources of information available on the I-net. Provides a basic introduction to HTML and its use to design home pages. The basics of Internet marketing, the use of Internet to generate publicity, Internet as an advertising medium, and the use of Internet to conduct effective marketing research will be discussed. Businesses can substitute capital with knowledge resources on the I-net and carry out transactions between networked organizations. An attempt will be made to pitch the level and coverage of the course to match the background and orientation of the participants.
