Abstract
Course syllabus for MGMT 55AAA Managerial Skills and Performance: A Laboratory Course
Course description: The primary objective of this course is to provide an opportunity to the student to develop critical action skills which will lead to effective managerial performance. The course attempts to develop the following skills: 1. Presentation Skills; 2. Negotiations Skills; 3. Entrepreneurial Skills; 4. Time Management Skills; and 5. Problem Solving Skills. In any semester learning will focus on three of the above modules. Through an experiential framework (more like internship), improvements in conceptual knowledge, insight skills, and action skills are expected to take place in the following areas: Decision making ability, Risk taking ability, Communication ability, Ability to deal with people/issues realistically, and project implementation ability.
